Middle School Student Essay Contest - 2022
iLearn World's essay contest provides an opportunity for middle schoolers to gain writing experience, as well as potential cash prizes, teacher classroom funds, and a copy of book
The Road to Yale
by Yale Admitted Students. The contest will be open to 7th and 8th graders from December 31st, 2021 until April 20th, 2022. The prompt for 2022 is below:
Watch the documentary "Countdown: Inspiration4 Mission to Space" or visit the website https://inspiration4.com/ to learn about Inspiration4, the world’s first all-civilian mission to orbit.
Write an essay about your greatest dream or goal. What will your goal contribute to the world? Write an essay that which answers this question through argumentative, narrative, or creative writing. Using the Inspiration4 material is optional.
Essays will be judged and ranked by iLearn World's Ivy-League college student mentors. The result will be announced on iLearn World website on June 15th 2022. Student winners will receive the following prizes:
- 1st place: $100
- 2nd-3rd place: $50/student
- 4th-13th: $20/student
- Finalists: 10 students will receive a copy of The Road to Yale
*The 1st place winner will have the opportunity to nominate their English or Humanities teacher for the iLearn World Teacher of the Year Award, which will provide $100 for classroom supplies.
